Laila’s Bio
Early Childhood
Laila Hill began singing at the early age of six. As a child, Laila enjoyed listening to Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Shante Moore. These singers are influential to her musical sound. At the age of twelve, Laila began singing in the church choir at Little David Baptist Church, where her talent was noticed. At fifteen, she started vocal lessons at Settlement Music School while attending the High School for Creative and Performing Arts as a drama major. While at CAPA, Laila met manager Glenda Garcia, who also managed Philadelphia’s own Phyllis Hyman. This meeting gave Laila a chance to audition at Atlantic Records.
Laila Hill has performed the National Anthem for the 76ers and the Eagles and has opened for singer CASE. In addition to singing, she is also a songwriter. Laila enjoys singing ballads and writing songs that touch her soul. Laila is available to sing at weddings, special events, and funerals. Please click on the link below for booking information.
